Important Notice: Microsoft Teams Rooms Device Licensing Changes

Important changes coming to Teams Rooms device licensing that may impact your organisation, requiring action to be taken before July 1, 2023.

Teams Rooms Device Licensing Changes:

Effective July 1, 2023, customers, including Microsoft Surface Hub users, can no longer apply user subscription licenses to log into their Microsoft Teams Rooms devices. The policy also includes devices enrolled in the Pro Management Portal. Customers will need to procure and provision a Teams Rooms license. This change was communicated beginning in September 2022, via in-product messaging and on the Microsoft Teams Rooms licensing page to ensure our customers had ample time to prepare for this transition.
