FORM IT & THE COMMUNITY
15 teams, eight schools and a competition that put engineering, programming and teamwork centre stage.

At Form IT Solutions, we believe technology is about more than systems and software. It is about people, ideas and the skills needed to turn innovation into reality.
That is why we are proud to sponsor VEX Robotics at Bedford School. The 2026 competition brought students together to put their engineering and programming skills into practice, learn from other teams and compete in a challenging technical environment.
Bedford School hosted the 2026 VEX Robotics competition, welcoming 15 teams, including two teams from Bedford School competing against teams from seven other schools.
The event showcased the practical side of STEM education, as students designed, programmed and operated robots to meet the challenges of the competition.
With teams progressing through the competition to the final match, the day highlighted the importance of preparation, adaptability and collaboration.

The final match scoreboard captured the intensity of the competition, with the red alliance winning the tournament by 65 points to 38.
Results like these reflect the importance of robot design, match strategy, reliable programming and effective coordination between alliance partners.
As a technology business, Form IT Solutions recognises the value of developing practical technical skills from an early age. Sponsoring VEX Robotics at Bedford School supports an environment where students can experiment, build confidence and explore their interest in engineering and computing.
We are pleased to support an initiative that connects education with real-world problem-solving and encourages young people to consider the possibilities of a future in technology.
VEX Robotics turns STEM theory into practical experience, helping students develop skills that extend well beyond the competition arena.
Designing, building and refining robots to meet specific technical challenges.
Using logic, testing and iteration to develop reliable robot behaviour.
Sharing ideas, adapting strategies and working together under competitive pressure.
VEX Robotics is a global educational robotics programme that helps students develop science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on design, construction and programming.
Its competitive format encourages students to apply classroom learning to practical challenges, refine their ideas and collaborate with others. It provides a valuable introduction to the engineering and problem-solving approaches used throughout the technology sector.
The 2026 VEX Robotics competition at Bedford School brought together teams to demonstrate their technical ability, creativity and determination. Form IT Solutions is proud to support this opportunity for students to learn through practical experience and develop skills for the future.
From supporting future innovators to helping organisations improve their IT, Form IT Solutions is committed to making technology work for people and businesses.
